It’s really nice to have established a tradition of naming our sprints (2 week work blocks) after the cake I’m going to bake for the sprint review (where we showcase what we have achieved in the past fortnight and look ahead to the coming weeks), and at the same time give myself a year long project of baking my way through your latest book.”
A few months ago I received the most lovely email from Miranda, who has been baking her way through my Sunday Baking recipe book for all the lucky people in her office.
To be completely honest she was initially pointing out a little typo, where butter was listed as an ingredient in my Vegan Ginger and Tamarillo Cakes (we’ll fix that next time we print, oops!) but soon sent through pictures of all her amazing creations!
“OMG these are the best thing in the book so far! Ginger and tamarillo, separate fabulous, together totally next level. I'm now officially baking my way through Sunday Baking and I'm now only 2 cakes from the end of winter with today's end of sprint "Pink Grapefruit Cake.”
Miranda has found any excuse, from SPCA fundraisers to thanking someone for finding her lost wedding rings (!!) to bake from my book and her emails absolutely warmed my heart. Receiving success stories from home bakers who are making my recipes and Kits is the reason why I love doing what I do.
