This year there are two special Easter cakes on our menu - the classic Hot Cross Bun Cake, which we’ve brought back for the fourth year, and a brand new creation, the Easter Egg Hunt Cake. Both are adorned with luxuriously lavish chocolate from House of Chocolate.
My favourite memory of being a kid at Easter time is the excitement that came with discovering hidden treats all around my garden; under shady trees, amongst spears of long grass and inside flower pots. So this Easter I’ve created a cake based on that concept - welcome the Easter Egg Hunt Cake!!
This crowd pleasing raspberry and caramelised white chocolate cake is topped with a lightly infused matcha cream cheese icing. It’s garnished with cookie soil, dried edible flower petals, roses, micro-greens and some House of Chocolate speckled eggs concealed in the wilderness.
Minicakes are available in boxes of 5 or 9 minis.
The Hot Cross Bun Cake embodies all the familiar flavours of a hot cross bun, with its generous serving of spices, dark chocolate chunks, currants and candied orange.
It's topped with a cinnamon-laced cream cheese icing and decorated with a ganache cross, chopped hazelnuts, Valrhona chocolate pearls, freeze dried blackcurrant slices and a Dark Chocolate Bunny filled with dreamy cinnamon ganache (thanks to House of Chocolate).
